Parshat Ki Tavo (When you enter [the Promised Land])

The Torah portion is Ki Tavo, Deuteronomy 26:1-29:8. In synagogues using the Triennial system, 5782 is year 3 and the Torah reading is Deuteronomy 27:11-29:8.

This parshah tells the procedure for making an offering of first produce from the soil in Israel, which includes telling a story that is a core part of the Passover seder: My father was a wandering Aramean... It talks of giving a tenth of the yield in the third year to those without land of their own: the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless and the widow. It provides lengthy lists the blessings for those who follow the commandments and curses for those who violate them.

The haftarah is for 6th Haftarah of Consolation, Isaiah 60:1-22. It speaks of the end of darkness and the return of light, a shining radiance.
